Morgellons disease is a true physical illness — and Morgellons United is here for one purpose:
To stand up for the dignity and human rights of all Morgellons patients and to unite us all with one voice.
Our mission is direct and urgent:
To compel the government to reopen its investigation into Morgellons disease. When we succeed— and we will — Morgellons will finally be validated as a true physical disease.
For the first time, the government will be required to properly investigate this condition under public scrutiny and in full compliance with its legal obligations.
Upon investigation and consequent validation:

An Unresolved Crisis – A Global Turning Point
In 2009, Canada’s Office of the Minister of Health publicly acknowledged the existence of Morgellons disease both in Canada and internationally, reporting that the Public Health Agency of Canada was actively monitoring this emerging healthcare crisis. At that time, the Minister’s Office confirmed that available information on Morgellons disease was extremely limited and effectively confirmed that no action was being taken to support patients in any meaningful way.
Now, 16 years later, despite a substantial body of new scientific evidence and continued cries for help from sufferers, the Canadian government has still not validated Morgellons as a legitimate physical illness.
After years of unsuccessful advocacy efforts with the Liberal Party, the New Democratic Party, the Green Party – and the Prime Minister’s Office — including engagement with two successive federal Ministers of Health, Morgellons United was founded to take a new and lawful approach. As a consequence, we have now established a formal relationship with the Conservative Party of Canada Leader, Pierre Poilievre, and Shadow Minister of Health, Dr. Stephen Ellis.
We have submitted a single formal request:
That Minister Ellis review more than a decade of new medical evidence — now publicly available at morgellonsunited.com/research — and refer this evidence to the Federal Minister of Health, the Honourable Marjorie Michel, in his official capacity as Conservative Party of Canada Shadow Minister of Health.
We have requested that Minister Ellis formally urge the Federal Minister of Health, Marjorie Michel, to direct the Public Health Agency of Canada to reopen its investigation into Morgellons disease.
We are confident that when this investigation is reopened, Canada will formally recognize Morgellons disease for what it is:
A legitimate physical illness, defined by the presence of unique skin fibers composed of the body’s own structural proteins — keratin and collagen — and emerging from within the skin - and, as a chronic multisystem disease beyond a chronic skin infection.
This official recognition will set off a global domino effect — reaching the World Health Organization (WHO) and advancing international recognition, accountability for all nation states, and proper care for all Morgellons patients worldwide.
Morgellons United will see this mission through to the very end.

OUR LETTER: Compelling Canada's Federal Minister of Health to review all scientific literature and obligation to reopen the Public Health Agency of Canada's investigation - resulting in the validation of Morgellons as a true physical illness - leading to proper patient care and fair treatment of all Morgellons patients worldwide.
Over a decade of independent, peer-reviewed scientific research demonstrates that Morgellons disease is a true physical condition, characterized by unique keratin and collagen based skin fibers originating from the human body. This body of evidence directly contradicts the longstanding psychiatric or “delusional infestation” classification and establishes a clear biological pathology.
Mobilize public pressure where it matters. Sign this petition to demand government action: reopen the Morgellons disease investigation, review the scientific evidence and publicly commit to state-funded research and, above all, proper medical care: testing, diagnosis, disability, support, and treatment - for those suffering.
